Serah, 1) (Zara), Reguels Sohn u. Esaus Enkel. 2) S., Sohn des Juda u. der Thamar, Zwillingsbruder des Perez. Bei seiner Geburt kam seine Hand zuerst zum Vorschein; die Wehmutter band ein rothes Band um dieselbe u. sagte, dieser sei der Erstgeborene; allein das Kind zog die [862] Hand wieder zurück, u. Perez wurde zuerst geboren. 3) S., in der Bibel ägyptischer König, welcher bei den klassischen Schriftstellern Osorthon heißt; er zog um 950 v. Chr. gegen den jüdischen König Asa, wurde aber besiegt.
