Sieradz, 1) Kreis des russischen Gouvernements Warschau; hat 125,000 Ew.; 2) Hauptstadt desselben, liegt an der Warta, hat verfallene Festung, Fabriken in Wollenzeugen; die große sonst hier befindliche Tuchmanufactur ist jetzt in Zintenhoff bei Pernau; 7000 Ew.
