Wales), am Milfordhafen, einem der größten, wichtigsten u. sichersten Hafen Englands, faßt 1000 Schiffe, hat 16 Arme, 5 Buchten, 13 Rheden, 2 Leuchtthürme auf der Spitze St. Annspoint, 2 Schlösser, Sternwarte, Austerfischerei u. ist Station der Packetboote nach Waterford; Eisenbahnverbindung mit Pembroke, Haverfordwest etc.; 2) Postort in der Grafschaft New Haven des Staates Connecticut (Nordamerika) an der Mündung des Wopewang River in den Long Island Sound des Atlantischen Oceans u. an der New York-New Haven Eisenbahn; 3 Kirchen, mehre Schulen, sicherer Hafen; 2600 Ew.; 3) Hauptort der Grafschaft Pike des Staates Pennsylvanien am Delaware River u.
