Minor, kleiner, in der Logik der Untersatz, s.u. Schluß. Daher Minorat (Jüngerrecht), das Recht des Jüngsten (meist sind Frauen ausgeschlossen) in einer Familie, die Immobiliarbesitzung des Erblassers ungetheilt in Besitz zu nehmen; die übrigen Geschwister od. Erben müssen von ihm abgefunden werden, wenn nicht so viel Mobiliarvermögen da ist, jene Erben daraus zu befriedigen; vgl. Majorat.
