Wingard, Karl Fredrik von W., geb. 1781 in Stockholm, wurde 1810 Professor der Poesie am Gymnasium zu Gothenburg, 1818 Bischof von Gothenburg, 1833 Erzbischof-Primas von Schweden u. starb im September 1851 in Stockholm. Er stiftete 1835 die Schwedische Missionsgesellschaft u. hatte bes. auf den Reichstagen von 1828–30 großen Einfluß.
