Torres Naharro

Torres Naharro, Bartolomeo de T. N., spanischer Dichter zu Ende des 15. Jahrh., geb. im Bisthum Badajoz, kam bei einem Schiffbruche in maurische Gefangenschaft u. dann nach Rom, wo Leo X ihn auszeichnete, mußte aber wegen eines Gedichts gegen die Höflinge nach Neapel entweichen u. trat zu Venedig in die Dienste des Fab. Colonna. Er ist Schöpfer des spanischen Drama, indem er demselben eine Handlung gab, u. schr., außer vielen Gedichten jeder Art, acht in drei Acte (die er zuerst Jornadas nannte) eingetheilte Komödien; gesammelt als Propaladia. Sevilla 1520 u. 1533.
