Stand

Stand, 1) der Zustand des Stehens, im Gegensatze der Bewegung u. des Liegens; 2) das Maß der Höhe, welches die Oberfläche des Wassers erreicht; 3) die Art u. Weise, wie man steht; 4) die Verhältnisse, in welchen sich Etwas befindet; die ganze Beschaffenheit eines Dinges; 5) die Verhältnisse des Menschen in Ansehung der ganzen bürgerlichen Gesellschaft od. des Berufs, welchen er betreibt, s.u. Gesellschaft S. 286 u. 287 u. Rang 5); 6) von Christus in der Lehre der Idiomencommunication die außerwesentlichen Verhältnisse u. Veränderungen, welche ihm als Gottmenschen zur Verrichtung seines Mittleramts nöthig waren, der S. der Erniedrigung (Status exinanitionis) u. S. der Erhöhung (Status exaltationis), s.u. Christus S. 115; 7) die Beschaffenheit des Menschen im Verhältniß zu Gott, so: S. der Unschuld, vor dem Sündenfall im Besitze der anerschaffenen Ähnlichkeit mit Gott; S. der Gnade (Gnadenstand), die Gemeinschaft mit Gott, worein der Mensch durch die Sündenvergebung aus Gottes Gnade gekommen ist; s.u. Gnade u. vgl. Mensch; 8) alle in einer gewissen Art von Verhältnissen lebende Menschen; 9) im engsten Sinne so v.w. vornehmer Stand; 10) der bestimmte Ort, wo man steht od. sich befindet; 11) der Ort, wo sich ein Wild, bes. ein Hirsch (s.d.) beständig aufhält; 12) der Ort, wo Jemand etwas verkauft od. sehen läßt; 13) in einem Pferdestalle die abgetheilten Räume für die einzelnen Pferde, welche durch hölzerne, ungefähr 4 Fuß hohe Wände od. durch starke Stangen (Standbäume) getrennt sind, s. Pferdestall; 14) der Ort, wo zu dressirende Hunde angekettet sind; 15) der Ort, von wo aus man nach einem Ziele schießt, s. Schießstand u. Anstand; 16) der Ort bei Feld- u. Holztreiben, welchen jeder Schütze zum Stehenbleiben u. Schießen angewiesen bekommt; 17) von Bretern gemachte Abtheilungen in den Scheidehäusern, Pochwerken, Wäschen u. Hütten zur Aufbewahrung der verschiedenen Sorten Erze u. Schlieche; 18) (Jagdw.), so v.w. Ständer 7); 19) das spitzige u. gekrümmte Hintertheil eines Elbkahnes.
